[She shuts the door and locks it behind her. Then she makes her way over to the long table in the center of the room, her long blonde curls bouncing with each step, and pulls out a wrought iron chair for Melissa.]
Oh? [Astrid quirks an eyebrow as her eyes dart over those nice clothes, but that's not a fight worth picking.] It's nothing like that. As a matter of fact, I don't want anything from you.
[She minces her way back to the other chair and takes a seat.]
My name's Astrid. I'm an investigative reporter for the Drinuin Post. The women and men you met upstairs are a group of-- well, I guess if I called them vigilantes I'd get a better story out of it. But they're a careful bunch so they like to be sure that they've got the right man before... [She trails off and taps her chin, searching for the right phrasing.] Before they finish their job. [She flashes Melissa a blinding smile.]
That's where I come in. I'm your neutral third party, and it's my job is to make sure I get the truth about what really happened. Does that all make sense so far?
