The class has completely forgotten that I attended school today.

[ Well that's weird.

[ Why is she getting closer? Why is she getting quieter? This feeling... it feels similar how he did when he was near Tsubaki. ]

[ Rei giggles lightly as she then takes out her own cellphone, beaming brightly, any sense of ominous thoughts washed away with her adorable smile. She may be a little older than Yukiteru, but she's not stupid. She knows her way around people. ]

Um, right... so I was wondering, do you mind filling out a survey for me? That was one of the questions on it, but I'm a little bit of a klutz when it comes to remembering to input them on my phone. I'm sorry, I'll put that in right now.

[ She then opens her phone and types in his first answer. Or rather, she's seemingly typing that in. But that's not what she's actually doing. What she's really doing is sending out messages to her wolves to keep an eye on those people. She doesn't have to deal with his friends.

They're already hers. ]

Um, so-- the next question is to listen to some music! D, do you mind...?

[ A survey? He relaxes a little bit. Something about this seemed off, but-- wait, that phone. No... no, there's no way she's a Diary Holder too. He didn't receive a Dead End flag, and if there was any chance she was going to hurt him, Yuno would be busting that door down, cold or no cold.

Still, a survey... he could humor her for a little while. What harm could come of that?

Umm... sure. [ His phone vibrates again. He's tempted to take it out, but he doesn't. Not yet. ] Sure, music is okay.

[ She pulls up a file on her cell phone that is specifically labeled, taking deep breaths before smiling lightly. Even if Yuno was to show up, she had plenty of wolves who could deal with her.

Rei has her eyes out there, everywhere. ]

I’ll play it, then. … Ah, but if you go into a trance, t- that’s normal! It sometimes does that, and I’m trying to find out how many people get into that trance… for my survey.

[ She fiddles with her fingers nervously, almost dropping the phone, but managing to catch it, sighing in relief when she catches it before playing it.

The sound is mechanical, some beeps and noises in there. It‘s how she starts her hypnotism. And she‘s hoping that it works. ]

A trance?

[ Wait, what? His phone vibrates again, but... it's too late. By the time she catches her phone and begins playing the music, he hadn't even made it to the door. He suddenly feels tired. Light-headed. His hand slowly lowers from the doorknob. It was like he was dreaming, but perfectly awake. Yuno must be freaking out by now, he's thinking, assuming she's not asleep herself; but considering she spends every waking moment not around him tracking his movements with her Diary, it's a longshot. ]

Tr-... trance...

[ His voice is hazy. Whatever she did, it worked. He had never experienced anything like this, he wouldn't even know how to defend against it. ]

Don't worry. I'm sure Gasai-san won't be coming here.

[ Those are her calm words before she stops the music; there's no need for it any longer. The trance is already set in place, all she has to do now is give her orders to her new toy. ]

Ah, but that's a lie too, isn't it? Because what I'm going to do in just a second will remove that from your mind.

[ She knows that there's no point in lying anymore as she stands up, completely fine. ]

Well. It seems it's time to get the game started, shall we? Now that you're in that trance, soon enough, you'll be all mine. Ah, but don't worry. I need you, so you'll be completely fine. But once you hear the words "For the one that I love", you'll only see me as that person. Gasai Yuno, was it...? Yes, that's perfect.

[ And then, she does exactly that. ]

[ His last bit of mental clarity was quickly fading. Even as he realized far too late that she was the one his Diary warned him about. Even if he couldn't register what she was saying consciously, he slowly nodded.

Somewhere in the back of his mind, his subconscious was screaming at him to fight this. Seeing her as Yuno? Was she going to... Right, when she snaps her fingers, of course. Yukiteru was powerless to resist at this point. He had even forgotten about the possibility that it was only a matter of time before Yuno saw this on her Diary.

It was too late for him to fight back, now. He was completely and totally under her control. ]

[ If Yuno did show up, all she had to do was use Yukiteru as a wonderful meat shield. It would be even better to watch him kill her in front of her eyes! Ah, what joy... ]

I do all of this for the one I love, after all.

[ The key word. ]

[ How evil, Rei. As soon as he hears the words, he blinks repeatedly. Wait, where was--... oh. There's Yuno. Except not. Yukiteru blinks a few more times, clearly confused. ]

Yuno...?

[ He asked, his voice relatively clear, even if his face looked as if he were daydreaming, completely spaced out. ]

I thought you... [ Yawn. ] were home sick...

[ She was, right? And yet, she looked just fine. Not flushed, not with bloodshot eyes, and not without a nearby box of tissues. Were he more conscious, he'd realize how little sense that makes. ]

I got better.

[ That's all she has to say, that's all she needs to say. There's nothing more she needs to say or do, after all. ]

Are you alright?

[ At least it's working.. ]

[ Better? Must have been Murumuru. Of course. ]

Oh... good. [ A sniffle. Honestly, why didn't he think of that? ] My head feels funny...

[ Something he'll blame on the cold, of course. He coughs again. This is strange, even for him. And he's seen more than his fair share of weird things. ]

[ A light giggle escapes her lips as she spins on her hell dramatically, her smile widening from ear to ear. ]

Well, uh... [ Come on, don't ask him to think critically while his brain is barely working! ] They, um... didn't see you, right...?

[ Calling in sick to school and then showing up anyway, especially while you're obviously just fine, doesn't look good. ]

Don't worry.

[ She'll smile brightly at him, at least. Sure, she may be tricking him, but it's not as if it's for a horrible cause. Actually, it is, but Rei doesn't see it that way. ]

I told them that I was only sick for half of the class period and now I'm okay. And besides... [ A dramatic pause, just in case. ] If I wasn't here for you, bad things might happen.

[ Weird. But, well, Yuno's a star pupil, if it had been anyone else, it probably would have never worked. Or he's just really easy to convince right now because he's hypnotized. Yeah, let's go with that. ]

Y-Yeah... [ He knows better than to try arguing with her on that, hypnotism or no hypnotism. ] Th.... thanks, Yuno...

[ Rei shakes her head in response, laughing lightly as she grins wide at the other girl. ]

You're welcome!

[ Yukki's hand runs through 'Yuno's' hair. Best to show her some affection now before she starts asking about the exchange student. He sniffles a bit, fighting back the cold. Honestly, he just wants this gone. Maybe he'll ask Murumuru to cure him later. ]

So... what... what do we do... now?

Hmm.

[ She taps her chin inquisitively, humming to herself happily. ]

Whatever you want to do.

[ Normally, he would have an idea. But, well, his mind is kind of foggy, thanks to someone having the brilliant idea of hypnotizing him. Yukiteru thought for a while, but nothing came to mind. Eventually, he just shook his head. ]

I don't know... whatever you want... to do.
